STEPANAKERT. – The recent fairytale by the Azerbaijani propaganda machine that the Azerbaijani side headed by the Minister of Defense S. Abiyev has allegedly occupied a strategic hill on the direction of the Mount Mrov on July 27 and that the Armenian servicemen voluntarily surrendered is nothing else but an outcome of ill imagination. The Azerbaijani side also claimed that Martakert and Karvajar regions in Nagorno-Karabakh are also well seen.

The Karabakh MOD released the following statement:

In reality, the Azerbaijani side occupied a territory not in the front but in the back of its former position. Secondly, the so-called military action claimed not lives of the Armenian side, but on the contrary, the opponent lost one servicemen, while two were injured in July 29 and July 31. Thirdly, it is simply not possible to see the aforesaid regions from the ‘occupied’ hill, which is of no strategic importance.  Hence, the Azerbaijani propaganda, attempting to present the desired instead of the real, appears to be in its usual poor condition.
