YEREVAN. – Police officers detained 28-year-old Davit Pahlevanyan on suspicion of sexually harassing a 16-year-old girl in Yerevan on Wednesday, a source told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

It was revealed that the young man was spreading child pornography. Child pornographic videos were also found in Pahlevanyan’s cell phone.

He got acquainted with an 8-year-old girl via Odnoklassniki.ru social network, appointed a date and harassed her sexually.

Criminal case is instigated on the Article 142 part 1 “Lecherous acts with a person obviously under 16”and Article 263, part 2 “Forcing minors to get involved in creation of software, video or film materials, pictures or other items of pornographic nature, as well as presenting children's pornography through computer network.”

An investigation is underway.
