YEREVAN. – A Ford Transit went off road at Armenia’s Vanadzor city-Georgia motorway, on Tuesday at around 6:30pm, crashed into a VAZ 2106 parked on the roadside, and subsequently hit Meline Avagyan, 57, who was selling produce at the same place.   

After hitting the woman, the Ford Transit slammed into the column of a nearby gasoline station. But the driver left the injured women unattended and drove away, the Police press service informs.   

Meline Avagyan, who had sustained injuries, was taken to hospital, where she died at around 11pm.

Ford Transit’s driver is being searched for, and an investigation is launched.
