YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received a call, on Thursday at 9:28am, informing that a road accident had occurred on Yerevan-Yeraskh Highway, and that rescuers were needed.

A fire and rescue team and a rescue squad from the regional rescue department were dispatched to the scene, MES informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.   

It was found out that a VAZ 2106-model vehicle had crashed into a Belarus T80-model tractor, for yet unknown reasons.   

As a result, VAZ 2106’s driver, Alfred Siranosyan, 40, and the tractor’s operator died on the spot.
