YEREVAN. – Armenia’s second President, Robert Kocharyan, who went to Moscow in recent days, has made his final decision. He will not run in Armenia’s presidential elections of February 2013, Zhoghovurd daily’s Moscow sources report.

“Even though numerous political forces were not ruling out his participation [in the elections], [and] making various analyses on Kocharyan’s possible return, those close to the second President claim Kocharyan has no intention to return to big politics just yet.

We certainly attempted to verify this news from Victor Soghomonyan, the person in charge of Kocharyan’s office, but he, as usual, did not answer to our [telephone] calls,” Zhoghovurd writes.
