YEREVAN. – The “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund’s annual telethon this year will be held on November 22 and the preceding telethon will be conducted between November 15 and 18, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports.  

“The Public Relations Department’s person in charge, Hasmik Grigoryan, told our reporter that the members of the Fund’s Board of Trustees are currently discussing the matter of helping Syrian Armenians, and the Armenian community of France informed that they are ready to direct ten percent of the money collected in France to helping Syrian Armenians. 

‘The other [Armenian] communities are discussing this matter and no clear final decision has yet been made. But if there will be people during the telethon who announce that they wish to direct their money specifically to helping Syrian Armenians, this will be done. At the moment I have nothing new in connection with the theme of the telethon,” Grigoryan said.
