Today, July 21, at 10:30 a.m. an emergency took place at one of the turbines in the non-block part of Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant. Crane operator Rafik Amyan, 49, a father of three, fell off nearly 25 –meter height to death. This is the first incident since the power plant was built. A joint investigating body of Prosecutor’s Office and police are at the spot.

100% minus one share of Hrazdan Energy Company (RazTES) OJSC is owned by Russian Rosneftegaz OJSC. This shareholding passes to Rosneftegaz’s nominal capital as a secondary emission along with state shares of another 78 oil companies.

In 2002, Hrazdan TPP (with 4 operating blocks) was transferred to Russian Federation property – to offset Armenian state debt of $31million. 5th energetic block under construction is owned by ArmRosGazprom, purchased under the Gazprom and Armenia agreement signed in April 2006.
