YEREVAN. – At this point, there are no negotiations between the ruling Republican Party (RPA) and the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), and RPA National Assembly Faction leader Galust Sahakyan does not understand why there should be any talks. Sahakyan himself stated this during a press conference on Friday.  

In his words, there is a coalition memorandum, and therefore what should they negotiate around, if there is nothing new to say.   

Sahakyan noted that, at present, they are preparing for the RPA congress, which will be held in December, and, subsequently, next year’s presidential election campaign activities will kick off.  

To the query as to what price RPA will pay to PAP so that the latter would support them in the elections, Galust Sahakyan responded: “Everything of ours is priceless. Usually they negotiate with the strong. We are strong and you can cooperate with everyone.”
