Two Azeri military officers-deputy division commander, Major Valad Gurbanov and platoon Commander Lieutenant Rustam Ahmadov were arrested over the armed incident in Azerbaijani military unit, Dashkasan region, AzerTAj agency reports. The servicemen were charged with leaving unsupervised the weapons given to the soldiers for cleaning.

Criminal case was launched under the article “intentional homicide”.

As NEWS.am reported previously, January 28, 2010 two Azeri soldiers opened fire at four servicemen and wounded 2 others. Thereafter, both soldiers committed suicide.

According to some reports, the soldiers were forced to appeal to arms, as were tortured in the unit.
