YEREVAN.- Armenian presidential candidate Andreas Ghukasyan said the best formula of good elections was given by speaker Hovik Abrahamyan who said “the good vote is that which received positive assessment of international observers.”

Ghukasyan, who is on hunger strike since January 21, commented on Monday on the recent statement of the OSCE/ODIHR observers. They said OCSE is not a tribunal and the mission is merely conducting monitoring of the presidential vote.

Meanwhile, Andreas Ghukasyan is confident that OSCE/ODIHR is an organization granting a certificate of election quality to the ruling regime. They give a certificate assuring the government that their actions towards the people are right.

“In 2008 the certificate was given to the government of Robert Kocharyan which used force against people who rose against the regime. Ten people were killed but none of the officials shouldered responsibility. International observers are not a tribunal but they bear responsibility and are misleading the Armenian society,” he emphasized. Ghukasyan called on OSCE/ODIHR mission to pack and leave Armenia immediately.
