YEREVAN. – The Armenian Ministry of Defense (MOD) informs, in connection with the recent fires that were shot toward Aygepar, Movses, and Chinari villages of Armenia’s Tavush Region, that the situation is under full control by the Armed Forces of Armenia.   

“All measures are taken to restrain the stunt pulled by the gangs of the adversary,” the statement of the MOD press service reads.   

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, a military serviceman was wounded Tuesday as a result of the adversary’s regular violation of the ceasefire toward several villages of Armenia’s Tavush Region, Defense Ministry Press Secretary Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. The wounded soldier is Gevorg Melikbekyan, 22. In Hovhannisyan’s words, Melikbekyan is in normal health condition, but he sustained an injury to his leg.    

In his turn, Chinari village prefect Samvel Saghoyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that there are no casualties among the villagers, and solely the vehicle of a fellow villager and the natural gas pipeline of the village were damaged.  

To note, the adversary violated the ceasefire in the direction of Aygepar, Movses, and Chinari villages of Tavush Region, on Tuesday from 9pm to 10:15pm local time.
