Ukraine will examine situation in the Caucasus and Georgia within the framework of its chairmanship in the OSCE, representative of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.

“Ukraine is focused on settlement of protracted unresolved conflicts in the OSCE area. For this purpose, OSCE Chairperson’ Special Representative for conflicts, Ambassador Andrii Deshchytsia plans to pay a working visit to the South Caucasus,” Yevhen Perebyinis told reporters.

Deshchytsia will visit Azerbaijan on April 14-15, Georgia – on April 15-16 and Armenia – on April 16-17.

During his trip, OSCE representative will hold talks in Baku and Yerevan. He will discuss regional situation and measures on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.

Ukraine took over the annual rotating OSCE Chairmanship on 1 January 2013.
