March 24-25 Former Czech President Vaclav Havel arrives in Georgia. Along with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili he will open the European House on Tbilisi Freedom square, that aims at representing Georgia EU integration prospects, Georgian Kavkaz-press reports.

Havel was invited by Saakashvili and according to some information will be rewarded with Order of Honor. Havel is one of the co-authors of notorious letter by European leaders sent several months ago to President Obama urging him not to cede Georgia’s interests to Russia.

Vaclav Havel held presidential post of Czechoslovakia in 1989-1992. Later, in 1993 after the velvet revolution he became the first president of Czech Republic assuming the office for 10 years.
