Aram Shahin-Bakoian from Democratic Party of Kurdistan, was elected in 111-seat Kurdish Parliament.
Chair of Central National Department Paruyr Hakobyan commented on the July 25 election for Radio Liberty. He declared that 2.000 Armenians reside in Iraqi Kurdistan.
As NEWS.am reported earlier, 507 candidates were presented for 111-seat parliamentary election. The seats were distributed accordingly: Turkmen got 5 seats, Christians – 5, Armenian minority – 1. The rest 100 — won by Kurds.
