August 30 as a result of special mission in Dagestan (North Caucasus) a foreign mercenary (citizen of Algeria) was seized. The latter was coordinator of international terrorist network “Al-Qaeda”, known as “Doctor Muhammad”.

The police opened a return fire as two mercenaries barricaded themselves in a private house, refusing to surrender. Both militants died, “Golos Rossii” informs. No victims from Internal Ministry and Federal Security Service officers have been reported.

The identity of the second terrorist is being established.
