YEREVAN. – The state funding of tourism in Armenia will reduce next year.

The above-said is noted in the country’s 2017 State Budget draft, whose committee discussions continue Monday in the National Assembly.

Accordingly, the budget will allocate 100 million drams (about $ 210,000) in the coming year, instead of the 188.4 million drams (about $ 395,000) for 2016.

The respective programs include promotion of domestic tourism, holding of seven traditional festivals, and development of international cooperation.

In addition, study visits to Armenia will be organized for the representatives of 34 foreign media.
