YEREVAN. – According to official data, deflation continued in Armenia in October, and it reached 0․1 percent, on a yearly basis. 

Deflation causes only a temporary advantage, and that is, you can buy more goods and services for the same amount. 

But the result is not so positive. For example, the average salary is frozen at best, whereas it can even be reduced, in worst case scenario.

The Armenia scene in retail sector, however, completely disregards the theory as well as the track-record of developed countries. As case in point, the income of Armenia’s traders has decreased though not so much, but nonetheless. 

Deflation does not at all mean a widespread reduction in the prices of goods and services in the trade industry.
