The Minister of Economic Development and Investment, Suren Karayan, on Monday introduced the bill on making the relevant additions—together with the attached drafts—to the Civil Code, to the National Assembly.

As per Karayan, this “resettlement” is an opportunity for foreign companies to close down in another country and relocate to Armenia, but keeping their names and funds and enjoying the rights of a resident organization.

The minister added, however, that whether such enterprises will be able to “resettle” in Armenia from other countries will depend on the laws of these countries.

“But we [Armenia], for our part, wish to give such an opportunity to foreign companies,” added Suren Karayan.
