YEREVAN. – The Minister of Justice of Armenia, Arpine Hovhannisyan, on Tuesday received a delegation led by Vassilis Maragos,  director of the European Commission Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy Division for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Eastern Partnership.

The minister presented the Armenian government activities toward fight against corruption, and increasing public trust in justice institutions in Armenia.

Maragos, for his part, underscored the justice reforms carried out with Armenia, and expressed readiness to continue respective cooperation.

The parties discussed the legal and judicial reforms’ strategic plan that is under development with European Union (EU) assistance, and the relevant list of events to be carried out from 2017 to 2020.
