A 4-year-old Armenian girl in Saint Petersburg, Russia, spilled a kettle-full of boiling water on herself. 

According to preliminary information, the child had pulled on the power cord of the electric kettle in their kitchen. As a result, the boiled water inside the kettle had spilled over the head and hands of the little girl.

She was hospitalized, as she had sustained burns to 21 percent of her face as well as 2nd- and 3rd-degree burns to her neck and hands.

An investigation is underway into this incident.

The little girl’s family is from Armenia, and they are living on rent in Saint Petersburg.
