Criminal charges were brought against Henrik Aghekyan, 64, who had crossed the national border of Armenia, and appeared in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, an exclave of Azerbaijan, in August.

Aghekyan has been charged with crossing the state border of Armenia without required documents, or proper authorization.

The respective investigation has been sent to court.

According to the indictment, between August 5 and August 6 at 8:30am, Henrik Aghekyan left his home in Aygepat village in Ararat Province of Armenia under unknown circumstances, crossed the state border of Armenia without respective documentation and authorization, and crossed into Nakhchivan.

But there were rumors at the time that Aghekyan has mental disorders, and he often went missing from home.
