YEREVAN. – President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Thursday received Russian Federation cultural figure, renowned Armenian musician, artist, director, and producer Stas Namin (Anastas Mikoyan). 

Namin  is in Armenia to attend the events on the occasion of his 65th birth anniversary, and which are held in capital city Yerevan along the lines of Armenian-Russian cooperation.

Sargsyan noted that Armenian people have great respect toward their talented compatriot, who has stood with them during their difficult times, and who now celebrates his birthday in Armenia. The President also lauded Namin’s activities throughout the years, and who worthily continues the good traditions of his great family.

Considering his visit to Armenia as a great honor for him, Stas Namin, for his part, stressed that Armenia has always been a fairytale land for him, and that he is glad to have this opportunity to show in Armenia everything he is engaged in.
