Turkish-Russian issues on transport and energy are still outstanding and will be discussed during the talks in Moscow, the Minister of Energy & Natural Resources of Turkey Taner Yildiz stated, Turkish Haberler reports.

Yildiz emphasized, that the bilateral problems in customs and transportation with Russia should be simplified, as the total turnover comes to 35-36 billion dollars.

Questioned by a journalist, whether the gas contract between Russia and Azerbaijan impacts NABUCCO project, the Minister responded: “I don't think it will have a negative impact. The thing is that each agreement has its significance. The projects might be interpreted on different levels. We are not the only party in this project and the situation should be considered also by other parties. But so far I consider Azerbaijan as a serious alternative.”
