YEREVAN. – There is no doubt that such work will be done.

Government Chief of Staff-Minister Davit Harutyunyan stated the aforesaid when asked by Armenian News-NEWS.am whether an investigation needs to be conducted based on press reports, and those giving “lip service” shall be penalized. 

“At the proposal of the [ruling] Republican [Party of Armenia], provisions also have been prescribed in the law that regulates civil service, [and] which give grounds for even dismissing a person from his office, in such cases,” added Harutyunyan.

During the cabinet meeting held on February 9, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan had stated that it is impermissible to use administrative resources for campaigning.
