YEREVAN. – Military serviceman Aleksey Avanesyan, who was wounded by the Azerbaijani armed forces, is recovering, and he is doing better.

Director of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Central Clinical Military Hospital in capital city Yerevan, Aram Asaturyan, told about the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

On January 24, Avanesyan was helicoptered from the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) capital city Stepanakert Military Hospital to the Central Clinical Military Hospital.

The soldier had sustained gunshot wounds to his lower limbs, he underwent surgery, and his leg was amputated.
