Azerbaijani migration laws need amending, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliamentary Human Rights Committee Rabiyat Aslanova said. She pointed out the necessity for determining the status of immigrants.

According to her, the flow of immigrants to Azerbaijan particularly from China, Afghanistan and Pakistan, has increased recently. The recent socio-economic growth in Azerbaijan attracted the world attention. This is the main reason for the increasing flow of immigrants, she stated.

According to official information, Azerbaijani Interior Ministry registered 54.000 immigrants from Georgia, Central Asian countries, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, China, Nigeria and other countries.
