Joint field military exercises entitled “Caucasian Eagle 2017” have kicked off in Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan.

The exercises are conducted at the firing range of the fourth mechanized brigade in Vaziani, Georgia online reports.

The joint ten-day exercises are held in Georgia for the first time, the previous two having taken place in Turkey. Land and air components will participate in the drills.  The military will carry out tactical, fire, engineering and other special tasks. They will also have to learn fighting elements in settlements, as well as elements of medical training.

According to the Defense Ministry of Georgia, the exercises are aimed at the capacity building of the special task forces of the three countries, exchange of experience and knowledge, as well as improvement of coordination when carrying out special tasks.
