Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud hold phone conversation, during which the leaders discussed the Qatar crisis, Kremlin reported.

Key issues of further development of Russian-Saudi relations in various fields were discussed. The sides expressed readiness to intensify their bilateral cooperation.

Heads of states exchanged views on the current situation in the region of the Middle East and North Africa, touching upon the escalating situation around Qatar, which, unfortunately, does not contribute to the consolidation of joint efforts in the direction of the settlement in Syria and the fight against terrorism.

They agreed to continue contacts at various levels.
