At least 141 people were missing and feared buried after a landslide caused by torrential rain destroyed a mountain village in a southwest China’s Sichuan province, Xinhua reported quoting provincial government.
By midday the only people rescued were a couple and their two-month-old baby.
The landslide also destroyed 46 homes. A rescue operation is already underway.
