Floodwaters caused by torrential rains killed six people, two others missing in southeastern part of U.S.

Heavy rains hit the states of Georgia and Tennessee a week ago, Associated Press reports. Some parts of Georgia were greatly affected by thunderstorms. As much as 50 cm fell in three days. State of emergency was proclaimed in seventeen districts of the region starting September 21, 2009.

According to meteorologists, today, September 22, another storm from Mexican Bay moves towards Georgia state.
