On Sunday morning, the Syunik provincial crisis management center of Armenia had received a report that a person had fallen into the river from the bridge of Norashenik village of Syunik Province.

It was found out that this person (born in 1978) had jumped from the aforesaid bridge into the Achanan River.

The rescuers who were dispatched to the scene carried out search along the river, but then the search operations were stopped due to darkness.

The search had resumed Monday morning, but then stopped again due to darkness.

The search operations have resumed Tuesday morning, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
