YEREVAN. – The Tavush provincial investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia is investigating the circumstances of the death of a married couple living in Ijevan city.

At around 6:20pm on April 8, a call was received from the Ijevan Medical Center that a 24-year-old female resident of the had committed suicide by hanging herself with a rope from the roof of the barn of a house in Lusadzor village of Tavush Province, the Investigative Committee informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

A criminal case was launched into this incident.

On the same day, at around 8:35pm, another call was received from the aforesaid hospital that a 35-year-old male resident of Aygehovit village of Tavush Province had committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope from the roof of the basement of his house.

A criminal case was launched into this incident, too.

The respective criminal investigations found out that the two aforementioned persons were spouses, and therefore a decision was made to join the two criminal cases.
