YEREVAN. – Within the framework of his official visit to the United States, the Minister of Finance of Armenia, Tigran Khachatryan, participated in the 2022 spring meetings of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.

During the visit, meetings were held also with the executive director representing Armenia on the IMF Board of Directors, the head of the IMF Middle East and Central Asia Department, and the head of the IMF Mission to Armenia, the Ministry of Finance of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Minister Khachatryan met also with the World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia, as well as the executive director representing Armenia on the Board of Directors of the World Bank.

Among other events, a joint meeting of the World Bank and the IMF Friendship Group covering Armenia took place, as well as a meeting of the delegation of the Ministry of Finance of Armenia with the delegation led by the Minister of Finance of Georgia.

And within the framework of separate bilateral meetings with senior officials of the IMF and the World Bank, the current participation with Armenia in the agenda economic processes was discussed, and agreements were reached on the organization of assistance and experience exchange programs as well as the development of further cooperation.
