YEREVAN. - There are certain differences between the video of former Armenian president, oppositional Armenian National Congress leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s speech and the released text of it, said the head of Ter-Petrosyan’s 2008 election campaign, former FM Alexander Arzumanyan via his facebook page.
He brought the transliteration of the introduction of Ter-Petrosyan’s August 2 rally speech, which, according to him was not preserved in the transcript.
“Neither the authorities, nor ANC and the people gained feasible benefit from the dialogue so far. But our country did. The credibility of Armenia as a civilized country immensely increased on the international arena. Owing to dialogue, Armenia gained stronger positions in the process of Karabakh conflict settlement. That is what we kept repeating to the authorities for already three years and they refused to understand. That is why the settlement process reached its current, disappointing state,” reads the text
“It appears that our three-year struggle had a sole aim of promoting the reputation of bandit regime on the international arena. And we were convincing these bandits to make concessions over Karabakh issues, but they would not agree,’’ commented Arzumanyan.
