Compared to 2018, the total volume of the wage fund in Armenia increased by 61.3 billion drams or 65%, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at the National Assembly during a preliminary discussion on May 31.

The average monthly salary in 2018 was about 174,000 drams, and in 2021 - 234,000 drams. “Thus, the growth of the average monthly salary in Armenia amounted to 34.4% or 60,000 drams,” the head of government explained.

The “growth” is not due to a real increase in salaries to the population, but to an increase in the salaries of officials and the police, as well as huge bonuses to state employees.
