Twenty parents have been recognized as injured party in the criminal proceedings into the police forcibly detaining a group of fallen servicemen’s parents at Yerablur Military Pantheon in Yerevan on September 21. Armenian News-NEWS.am learned about this from these parents' legal representative, lawyer Vahan Hovhannisyan.
The attorney added that the conclusions of the medical examination regarding five parents have been received.
"According to the results of the examination, five parents received bodily injuries; that is, various degrees of damage were caused to health," Hovhannisyan noted.
He said that there is still no defendant in this proceeding.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Yerablur on September 21—on the occasion of Armenia's Independence Day anniversary—was marked by an incident. Before his arrival at Yerablur, the police forcibly detained several dozen fallen soldiers’ parents who did not want Pashinyan to visit their sons' graves.
