In September 2022, Armenia set a new absolute record in income-salary jobs, and in September 2022 it had 691,087 jobs, which is 10  thousand more than the previous record, and the previous record was registered in June 2022—681,050 jobs. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the Cabinet session of the government Thursday.

"Also, I should note that this figure is 39,946, or 6.1 percent, more than September 2021, and 108,312, or 18.6 percent, more than September 2018. We can record that since 2018, 108 thousand new jobs have appeared, been created, come out of the shadows in Armenia," he said.

The PM noted that all salaries paid to all employees in September 2022, taken together, increased by 33 billion 430 million drams, or 23.5 percent, compared to September 2021.

"I believe this is a very important indicator for a year as a payroll, and compared to September 2018, it is 74 billion 161 million drams, or 73.2 percent, more; that is, now the total payroll of the republic is 73 percent more than in September 2018.

The total amount of income tax is very important; this is perhaps the number that can give us a place to be proud of and emphasize. In September 2022, compared to September 2021, more income tax was collected by 5 billion 351 million drams, or 17.6 percent, and compared to September 2018—by 10 billion 556 million drams, or 41.8 percent," Pashinyan said.

Reflecting on the average salary paid per person, the PM noted that in September 2022, compared to September 2021, the salary paid per person increased by 35 thousand 769 drams, or 16.4 percent, and compared to September 2018, it increased by 80 thousand 77 drams, or 46.1 percent.

"Of course, the numbers are very important and very impressive, and I hope that we will continue this pace," added Nikol Pashinyan.
