The Armenian government has lately managed to do a lot to revive the Armenian aviation industry, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Wednesday in the Parliament at the joint session of permanent parliamentary committees during the debates on the 2023 draft state budget.

According to the head of the government, in due time the authorities promised to create conditions for the revival of Armenian aviation. The PM said that this was of great political and economic importance.

"The fact that air transportation has noticeably intensified primarily due to the creation of Armenian airlines, I personally have been convinced more than once, while making foreign visits.

For example, in 2018-2019, I often saw empty rows of the air harbor at the capital's Zvartnots airport. Now I am pleased to say that the airport is full of airliners. And these are first of all Armenian airlines. And the number of airplanes is continuously growing.

Today we see a certain recovery of air transportation. About 30% of flights are made by Armenian airlines. Of course, we have problems in the sphere of aviation. There is a 'black list' and so on. But I am sure that we will overcome all these challenges through institutional measures," the PM added
