YEREVAN. – A tea production plant will begin operations in Yerevan within one month, and most modern equipment has been obtained to that end, Ararat Food Plant company’s Directors’ Board chairman Sargis Tarverdyan told Armenian News.NEWS.am.   

According to Tarverdyan, the company has also commenced operations at 2 canning factories in Armenia’s border areas nearby Noyemberyan and Goris towns. “We are making products under our supervision, our standards, and for ourselves,” Tarverdyan noted, adding that they are primarily producing fruit jams and preserves, as well as well-known Armenian pickled goods.

Sargis Tarverdyan also informed that the product will be exported to Russia, for the most part, but geographical scope of the exports will expand in the future. In Tarverdyan’s words, the Armenian fruits are the tastiest and the canned goods produced from these fruits are the best quality in the world.
