YEREVAN. – The real estate prices will rise in Yerevan, in the near future, because, linked to the depreciation of major currencies, the businessmen now think about accumulating and preserving capital, and it is this function which real estate carries out for the investors, Esko Concern company’s president Sargis Aghabekyan told Armenian News.NEWS.am.

In his words, the real estate market has stabilized in the past 1.5 years; there is no decline in prices, but there is no increase either; the prices fluctuate between the 4-and-5-percent margin.

According to Aghabekyan, composition of the demand has also changed. The diaspora Armenians are less active now, and instead the citizens of Armenia and Iran have become more involved. Furthermore, the consumer now prefers to purchase fully-modeled and furnished real estate.
