YEREVAN. – To Hraparak daily’s question as to whether Armenia’s Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, despite his human qualities, is considered a weak figure as defense minister, Deputy Minister of Defense and former Military Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan retorted:

“Find a good weightlifter and appoint him defense minister. Let him lift heavy weights, become Olympic champion, and say he is a strong minister. What does it mean to be ‘weak?’ Do you think that the life story of someone who has fought against the enemy could be weak? Those who say [he is] weak are puppies and that’s why they speak like a weakling; I can’t say anything more. How [could they say that about] a hero? He is a hero of Artsakh [Karabakh], he has gone through war, looked death in the eye…What does it mean to be ‘weak?’” Hraparak writes.
