YEREVAN. – Armenia’s National Security Council (NSC) Secretary Arhur Baghdasaryan received an Indian delegation, led by Sanjay Singh, Secretary (East) of India’s Ministry of External Affairs, which is in Armenia to attend session of the Armenian-Indian Inter-Governmental Committee.
Baghdasaryan noted that Armenian-Indian good-neighborly relations have a historical past and underscored the need to make those relations more practical. NSC Secretary also stated that the level of current political and economic cooperation is fairly high, NSC Press Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Armenia’s NSC Secretary also delightfully recorded that his visit to India, his meeting there with his Indian colleague, and the ongoing dialogue have brought a new impetus to Armenian-Indian cooperation in the security domain.
The parties expressed a satisfaction with the close collaboration between both countries.
They also discussed the process toward receiving a large-scale commodity credit, whose respective negotiations are underway, and the operation of Indian-made agricultural equipment in Armenia.
The parties also underscored forming of the Armenian-Indian Business Council and founding of the Armenian-Indian Information Center, in Yerevan.
In his turn, Sanjay Singh highly assessed the warm relations between the two countries, highlighting that India is likewise prepared to stimulate the existing cooperation.
