YEREVAN. – Investigation department of Armenian police ended pre-investigation of the case on large amount of money stolen from the state budget. The prosecutor confirmed the accusation.
According to the proofs, a citizen I. Gevorgyan together with S. Taziyan and several other people, stole AMD 166,775,568 ($450,745) from the state budget during June-November 3, 2010, out of which AMD 3,525,000 ($9,527) was given as trade bribe to the administrative employees of trade organization, Prosecutor General’s press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
As result of cheating, the group stole the amount of AMD 166,775,568 ($450,745) from the state budget for the State lottery false bonus tickets.
I. Gevorgyan is accused according to N 178 article of the Criminal Code. The court will investigate his case separately. Taziayn is wanted. Pre-investigation on other people included in the case is ongoing.
