YEREVAN. – Armenian Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan offered two legislative amendments to the PM Tigran Sargsyan and heads of Parliamentary groups.

The claims testify that peoples with disabilities as a result of medical-social expertise are not recognized as such by the corresponding committee, Ombudsman’s press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The criteria for the definition of disability cause uncertainty. It leaves a wide range of discretion for the medical examination committees. As a result, the examination in some cases is not objective.

The other claim refers to dismantled property and lack of control over constructors by the state. The law intends compensations for dismantled property. However, it is not taken into account.

The Ombudsman represented his solutions and offered to come up with legislative amendments’ initiative.
