YEREVAN. – Demetrio Villagra, Mayor of Campinas city in Brazil’s São Paulo state, signed on December 16 resolution on the Armenian Genocide recognition adopted by the city parliament on November 20.
The decision is in power since it was confirmed by the Mayor and published in Diario Oficial newspaper on Monday, Armenian MFA’s press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
According to the decision, the April 24 will be included in the list of memorable days for the city marked in the calendar. It will be marked as the Remembrance Day of the 1915 Armenian Genocide victims.
