YEREVAN. – Armenia will soon attempt to develop MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) Tourism, Deputy Economy Minister Ara Petrosyan stated during a press conference on Friday.
In Petrosyan’s words, this tourism is actively growing in the world, and it will enable Armenia to secure tourist flow into the country during the passive season.
According to Ara Petrosyan, Armenia’s existing infrastructures allow it to take certain steps in this direction in the coming years. And against this background, an unprecedented international conference, entitled “Universal Values and Cultural Diversity in the 21st Century: How Can Tourism Make a difference?”, is scheduled to be convened in the capital Yerevan in October. The event will bring together ministers from different countries.
