Weapons are still being supplied to Azerbaijan from Israel and Turkey. Artsrun Hovhannisyan, a representative of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, told this to RFE/RL. He added that Azerbaijan has not even observed the humanitarian ceasefire at all.

As for the publications that the mercenary terrorists were deceived by Azerbaijan, he said: "Whether they were deceived or not, it is another matter; of course, they need to deceive a mercenary. The number of casualties from the terrorists is hundreds, and so many corpses are already being sent [back] to Syria, and some of them are being eaten by boars in the swamps of the valley near the Araks [River]."

As for the chances of the Armenian side using the Iskander ballistic missiles, Hovhannisyan called not to make analytical judgments. "Iskander is a missile, there are weapons similar to the Iskander in the armament of the [Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh)] Defense Army, which do their job; it’s just that the distance is long, and it is very difficult to hit, find it," he said.

Artsrun Hovhannisyan said that Azerbaijan had used most of its entire arsenal. "In some cases, the Azerbaijani armed forces have advanced; [but] in fact, these sectors are ridiculously small from the point of view of military science, in terms of the loss of used forces and time," he said, urging not to focus on specific areas.

He noted that Azerbaijan often carries out a joint information-sabotage operation; that is, they go to a settlement, enter, take pictures and videos, put up the Azerbaijani flag, and then the Artsakh army counterattacks, and they run away. "They [the Azerbaijanis] are doing that because they do not have real, tangible success," he said, noting that Azerbaijan aimed to capture Artsakh in two or three, maybe five days. He added that this was a planned blitzkrieg.
