London-based photo journalist Anastasia Taylor -Lind’s “The National Womb: Baby Boom in Nagorno-Karabakh” project won a prestigious international award.

Taylor -Lind’s works depicts the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Government’s “Birth Encouragement Program,” which distributes cash payments to newlyweds for each baby born, with the aim of repopulating the region after the devastating 1991-1994 war, which was waged by Azerbaijan.

Anastasia Taylor-Lind will receive a US$ 10,000 award, and she will display her works in the US city of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
