YEREVAN. – Armenia’s opposition Heritage Party has nominated candidates for council of elders, in the country’s forthcoming local self-government elections, and it supports opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party’s candidate for the mayoral elections in Gyumri city, Heritage MP Zaruhi Postanjyan said during a press conference on Friday.    

In her words, there also are other communities where they will support the opposition’s candidates.

Reflecting on the matter of changing the Prime Minister, which the Prosperous Armenia Party had raised, Zaruhi Postanjyan stated that the Heritage Party reaches decisions on such issues during its board session. But, in her view, the Government of Armenia does not make decisions that are fitting for the state.  

To note, opposition Heritage Party is a liberal party founded in 2002. Its leader is Armenia’s First Foreign Minister, Raffi Hovannisian.
