YEREVAN. – No danger will jeopardize the implementation of the State Budget in 2013, and this includes the presidential elections, National Assembly’s Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Committee Chairman Gagik Minasyan stated during a press conference on Tuesday. 

In his words, Armenia will have a more diversified economy by the end of the coming year, the exports will be the primary engine of this economy, and the crisis in the construction sector will be surmounted. The GDP growth is projected at 6.2 percent. 

To note, the 2013 State Budget’s revenues and expenditures are envisioned to be 1 trillion and 31 billion drams (AMD), and 1 trillion and 151 billion drams respectively. The budget deficit is estimated at 120 billion drams, or 2.6 percent of the GDP.    

In line with the current exchange rate, US$ 1 is equivalent to approximately AMD 408.
